Otakon 2021 Online

Here is the information Otakon sent me regarding their online event this Saturday August 1.

Otakon.Online to Take Place Saturday

Washington, D.C. (July 27, 2020) – A special online version of Otakon will take place this Saturday, August 1, featuring special
guests, content and events. Otakon.Online will broadcast from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time across six different channels.
The event is free.

A number of notable events are planned, including a special showing of the Netflix original series, Carole &Tuesday, followed by
interviews and a question-and-answer session with Shinichiro Watanabe, chief director; and Motonobu Hori, director. In addition,
expect a musical performance by Celeina Ann, who sings as Tuesday Simmons in Carole & Tuesday and also wrote and recorded
music for her character's musical performances.

Famed composer Kaoru Wada (Inuyasha, Ninja Scroll, Princess Tutu, D. Gray-man, and Ace Attorney) will discuss his work on the
upcoming Inuyasha sequel, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.

The Japanese Embassy of Washington, D.C. will present a talk on The Legend of Zelda, explaining how the popular video game
series has been heavily inspired by Japanese myths, legends, and religious traditions, both ancient and contemporary.

Producer Shintaro Tani will introduce and discuss the development of Monster Girl Doctor, the newest anime from Bandai Namco
Arts.

Yuki Hayashi, a composer known for his work on TV dramas, anime, and movies, will discuss his work. Some of his most famous
anime projects include My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!, Pokemon Journeys, and Death Parade. Hayashi will especially focus on his
work composing music for the movie My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising.

Super Art Fight! is returning to Otakon this year with their signature artist-combat-creative-throwdown.

After a several year hiatus, Otakon is thrilled to have Mystery Anime Theater 3000 back, to share the very worst of the worst anime
that's ever been produced.

Finally, Otakon will co-op up with United Gaming League on a series of signature video game competitions.
